What is Clopidogrel and Aspirin used for?
It is used for the treatment of angina pectoris (chest discomfort/pain caused due to insufficient oxygen supply to the heart muscle), heart attack, and stroke (a medical condition caused by insufficient blood flow and oxygen supply to the brain). Prophylaxis in cases of increased risk of blood clotting. Myocardial infarction, coronary bypass, transluminal angioplasty, strokes, transient ischaemic attack. Analgesic (Headache, backache, myalgia, joint pain, toothache, neuralgias, dysmenorrhoea). Antipyretic. Reduction of athero-sclerotic events (MI, stroke, and vascular death) in patients with atherosclerosis documented by recent stroke, recent MI or established peripheral arterial disease.
